    Description

    Organization Overview: We are a growing nonprofit dedicated to creating inclusive, accessible performing arts opportunities for individuals of all abilities. Through classes, productions, and community programming, we aim to empower participants, build confidence, and foster belonging through the arts.

    Position Summary: We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Volunteer Grant Writer to help support our mission by identifying and securing funding opportunities. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys storytelling, research, and making a tangible impact in the community.

    Responsibilities:

    • Research and identify relevant grant opportunities (foundations, corporations, and local funding sources)
    • Write compelling grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and funding applications
    • Assist in developing program narratives, budgets, and supporting materials
    • Track grant deadlines and submissions
    • Collaborate with leadership to gather program data and impact stories
    • Assist with grant reporting as needed

    Qualifications:

    • Strong writing, editing, and research skills
    • Experience with grant writing or nonprofit fundraising preferred (but not required)
    • Ability to communicate impact clearly and persuasively
    • Organized and able to manage deadlines independently
    • Passion for the arts, inclusion, and community impact

    Time Commitment: Flexible; approximately 5–10 hours per month, depending on grant cycles
