    VETERAN VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR HOSPICE - SCHERTZ TEXAS

    Elara Caring, one of the nation's largest providers of home-based and hospice care, is looking for compassionate volunteers willing to donate their time to provide exceptional end-of-life companionship to local hospice patients and their families.

    We are officially accepting in-person VETERAN volunteers! This includes:

    • Assist in replacing lost medals
    • Assist Veterans in life review and life history
    • Regular visits for socialization
    • Education / Assistance with Veteran benefits
    • Call or visit Veterans on Veterans Day
    • Visit Veterans in their homes, nursing facilities, assisted living facilities or hospitals
    • Veteran volunteers might consider wearing their uniform and take part in a Veteran Pinning ceremony
    • And providing emotional support for a VETERAN as they navigate hospice care

    Elara Caring Thanks you for your service and all that you have done for our country. Thank you for keeping our country safe and strong. You are very much honored and very much appreciated for all that you have done. Thank you for your courage and for putting your country first.

    Hours are very flexible! You can choose from weekdays, evenings, and weekends. Typically, we ask you to donate an hour of your time once a week.

    The onboarding process includes a background check, and TB test to maintain compliance with the TEXAS Department of Public Health.
