Teens Needed: Volunteer Online as a Conversation Partner
Details
Description
Want a volunteer opportunity you can do from your room, in just one hour a week?
Join ENGin as a teen Conversation Partner and get matched with a Ukrainian teen your age for weekly one-on-one English conversations over video. You’ll help your partner gain confidence in English, and you’ll make a friend on the other side of the world.
Perks of volunteering with ENGin:
- A new friend from another country
- Real-life skills: communication, confidence, and cross-cultural experience
- Volunteer hours certification, if you need it for school or applications
What you need to volunteer:
To volunteer, you need to be over 13, fluent in English, and have a stable internet connection. You’ll also need to commit to one hour a week for at least 12 weeks, and we’ll ask for a parent or guardian’s consent when you sign up.
No tutoring experience or Ukrainian language skills required. We give you training materials, conversation guides, and flexible scheduling, and you pick the topics: music, gaming, school, pop culture, anything you’re both into. Our team supports you the whole way, and we’re happy to provide documentation or hour verification on request.
Since 2020, ENGin has matched over 35,000 volunteers with Ukrainians, including many student and teen volunteers. 99% of learners say the program helped them break the language barrier, and 85% form lasting friendships.
