Groundskeeping Volunteer — Gardens and Outdoor Spaces

Help create a welcoming place for neighbors to gather.

A cared-for garden and a clear walkway help visitors feel welcome before they enter the Brown House. Santiam Heritage Foundation is seeking a Groundskeeping Volunteer to help tend the outdoor spaces around this historic Stayton landmark.

If you enjoy working outdoors and contributing to a place your community can enjoy, we’d love to meet you.

Ways you can help:

• Weed and water garden beds.
• Sweep walkways and collect leaves and small debris.
• Help prepare outdoor spaces for tours and community events.
• Share observations about areas that need attention.

This role excludes lawn care and mowing.

Gardening experience is helpful. Please share your interests and the tasks you’re comfortable doing so we can discuss a good fit.

Your work will help make the Brown House an inviting setting for learning, conversation, and new memories. Along the way, you’ll connect with others who care about this community.

Local participation required: You must live near Stayton, Oregon, and be able to attend scheduled work sessions in person.
