Volunteer driving fills a need and filling a need feels good!

Through the Sound Generations Volunteer Transportation Services program caring and compassionate volunteer drivers provide valuable rides with their own car (mileage reimbursement available) to medically necessary appointments throughout King County to people 60 years and older.

Time Commitment

It's your choice how often you want to provide rides. Most of our volunteers provide rides once a week, while some do much more and others less. Our hours of operation are between 8am and 4:30pm, Monday through Friday.

Location

You choose where you would like to drive. Some people choose to drive in their own neighborhood while some volunteers are comfortable driving in all areas of King County.

Requirements

Each volunteer driver must:

• Have a valid driver’s license.
• Pass a criminal background and DMV check
• Have weekday availability
• At least 25 years old
