Civil Rights Tester in Eastern Michigan

Description
Volunteer with flexible hours to ensure equal housing opportunities for all people. You can help by posing as a potential tenant shopping for an apartment. You will follow a script and turn in a report about your visit. Potential testers must be over the age of 18, pass a background check, availability during the week, and have some computer skills. We are looking for all ages, races, any disability, etc. . Although this is a volunteer position, we do pay a stipend for each assignment and free training to get started. Testing takes place in the following counties: Arenac, Bay, Clare, Genesee, Gladwin, Gratiot, Huron, Isabella, Lapeer, Midland, Saginaw, Sanilac, St. Clair, and Tuscola. How to Volunteer for This Opportunity

We will go over all the details of the position with you and if it is a good fit we will schedule a free training class.(you do not need legal experience, any past occupations will work) Just the ability to be able to do a mystery shop to an apartment complex, looking for an apartment. Acting skills a plus, but not necessary.
