    Description

Reduce isolation as a Senior Kinship Volunteer.

The Senior Kinship Program offers a one-on-one service, where volunteers provide assistance and friendship to isolated or homebound seniors (60 years of age and older) throughout Anoka County. Some services include companionship, outings, running errands and providing medical and non-medical transportation. Through community exposure and interactions with clients, Senior Kinship Volunteers further Anoka County Community Action Program's mission by empowering seniors who are low income.

In return, volunteers create a friendship and the opportunity to give back to their community. Shifts and hours vary depending on client demand and availability of volunteers. Volunteers receive a small stipend and reimbursement for their meals and transportation (portal to portal) while they serve.
