    Description

    Responsible for leading safe nature outings for a group of children, teens or young adults with our community partners

    • Complete Outdoor Leadership Training (OLT) and co-lead provisional outing prior to becoming a leader
    • Organize & manage logistics of outing from start to finish
      • "Pre-hike" chosen outing location
      • Assign duties to Co-leaders, as necessary (e.g. make lunches
      • Create Safety Management Plan
      • Complete Post-Trip Report
    • Manage communication with community partner hosts from pre-trip through post-trip
      • Send Trip Release forms 3 to 6 weeks prior to trip outing
      • Receive & review Trip Release forms for allergies and completion
      • If necessary, attend pre-trip tabling event at participating community partner
    • Maintain Las Vegas ICO equipment (i.e. Sierra Club backpacks, two-way radios, Spot Garmin device)
