    Description

Are you interested in an important, remote volunteer role with Rescue City? We're looking for a volunteer to join the medical team as the Medical Coordinator! This is a growing admin position that requires a compassionate individual who is eager to be a major part of our Rescue City Family. While experience working with veterinary records is helpful, great attention to detail is key. Tasks include reviewing incoming medical records, communicating medical issues and treatment plans with our foster/adoption teams, communicating with foster parents regarding vet appointments, and following up with veterinary partners as needed.

The ideal candidate for this role has:

    • Ability to dedicate 5-10 hours per week. (Ability to periodically check email is more important.)
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • A take-charge/proactive approach and attitude
    • High attention to detail
    • A passion for animal rescue and the desire to grow in the role
Are you passionate about animal rescue and want to get involved? Please email volunteer@rescuecity.nyc with a brief intro and our Volunteer Coordinator will be in touch.
