Email Newsletter Researcher/Copywriter

Quick Overview: Nonprofit entertainment company serving senior care and nursing home community is seeking an experienced email researcher/copywriter.

Mission: The mission of Senior Care Home Entertainment is to alleviate depression and loneliness among the residents of senior care and nursing homes by providing premium music and entertainment performances through our variety-style television series at no cost to the care homes. Entertaining Older Folks, is a one-hour, variety style program with music, comedy, magic, poetry and so much more! It streams on YouTube on the Senior Care Home Entertainment Channel. It is available 24 hours a day on televisions, tablets, computers and phones. We have 20 commercial free episodes.

Impact: To create awareness for Entertaining Older Folks, we launched a volunteer telephone outreach initiative to contact senior care and nursing homes and encourage the staff and administration to inform their residents of the series. Our nonprofit, Senior Care Home Entertainment, sends out a monthly email newsletter with a half a dozen links to stay connected with our contacts and provide them with a resource and partner during these unprecedented times.

Volunteer Roles and Responsibilities: Position includes researching and sourcing engaging content each month on the world of senior care and nursing homes as well as writing an opening message for the monthly newsletter. One hour a month, position is ongoing.

Requirements: Experience in newsletters and research in general. Journalism experience is also significant.
