Description
Toni’s Kitty Rescue is seeking dynamic and creative Social Media Volunteers to enhance our online presence and engage our community across various social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, our website and potentially expanding to others. This critical role will focus on driving audience engagement, creating compelling content, education, and fostering a strong online community for our organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Creation and Publishing:
- Create, edit, and publish engaging content across our website, Facebook, and Instagram on a consistent daily and weekly schedule.
- Write compelling bios, captions, headlines, and calls to action that are warm, human, and true to our mission
- Source and edit photos and short videos of animals available for adoption and fostering, coordinating with our fosters and staff
- Adoption and Fostering Campaigns:
- Create dedicated social media content for animals ready for adoption or fostering, including profile posts, featured animal spotlights, and urgent appeal content for animals who have been waiting the longest.
- Monitor and respond to adoption and fostering enquiries received through social media and direct interested followers to the correct application process.
- Community Management:
- Monitor social media accounts daily and respond to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely, warm, and on-brand manner.
- Build genuine relationships with our online community of followers, donors, fosters, and adopters.
Qualifications
- Experience managing social media accounts
- Strong writing skills
- Comfortable working independently and managing your own content calendar
- Proficiency with websites, Facebook, and Instagram
- Experience with basic photo editing
- Genuine passion for animal welfare and the Pets Sanctuary mission.
