    About Advocate Hospice

    Advocate Hospice provides compassionate, patient‑centered care to individuals and families facing life‑limiting illness. Our interdisciplinary team supports not only physical comfort, but also the emotional, social, and spiritual well‑being of patients and their loved ones.

    About the Volunteer Role

    Hospice volunteers are an essential part of our care team. Volunteers offer presence, kindness, and support during one of life’s most meaningful moments. Whether you enjoy conversation, quiet companionship, or helping families in practical ways, your time can make a lasting impact.

    Volunteer Opportunities May Include:

    • Offering companionship and emotional support to patients
    • Reading, listening to music, or sharing conversation
    • Providing respite and support for family caregivers
    • Assisting with administrative or office projects (non‑patient facing)
    • Supporting special programs such as veteran recognition or grief services

    (Volunteer roles are matched based on your interests, comfort level, and availability.)

    Who We’re Looking For:

    • Compassionate, reliable individuals age 18+
    • Comfortable working with patients facing serious illness
    • Able to provide consistent support (typically a few hours per month)
    • No medical experience required – just a caring heart
