    Description

    Pharmacy Technicians

AFC advances health equity by providing comprehensive, whole-person healthcare to our neighbors who would otherwise lack access. This is done through the support of dedicated volunteer medical professionals. Volunteer pharmacy techs are integral to our mission. Shifts for pharmacy are Mondays-Fridays (1pm-4pm).

Volunteers are expected to commit to at least 2 shifts (3 hours) a month. Some volunteers opt to spend more time with us, and that's great too! Volunteers are required to do phone interviews with several decision-making staff and must pass a background screening.

Pharm techs must be licensed to practice in Virginia. We register all licensed medical professionals with the Virginia Department of Risk Management which provides risk coverage for those working as volunteers in free clinics.

Visit our website to learn more about our volunteer program and RSVP for a Virtual Info Session.
