    Description

    Interviewers at events acts as a bridge between a brand, organization, or cause and its audience, using conversational, narrative-driven techniques to capture and share compelling, authentic stories

    This role goes beyond simple Q&A, focusing on uncovering emotional, human-centered experiences that drive engagement and create lasting memories

    Interviewer Responsibilities & Tasks

    Capturing Content: Conducting on-site interviews with attendees, clients, or team members to gather stories while emotions are high, often producing testimonials or video content.

    Nurturing Narratives: Developing human-centered stories that highlight the impact of an organization’s work, member successes, or policy positions.

    Engagement: Acting as a "host" or "moderator" to keep the audience engaged, make speakers feel comfortable, and keep events flowing smoothly.

    Real-time Interaction: Identifying and interviewing individuals on the fly to capture authentic, spontaneous moments

    Interviewer Required Skills

    Active Listening: The ability to focus entirely on the speaker, pick up on subtle cues, and ask insightful follow-up questions to delve deeper, rather than interrupting.

    Empathy and Connection: Creating a sense of intimacy that allows people to feel comfortable sharing deeply personal or impactful experiences.

    Communication: Excellent verbal skills to frame questions effectively and written skills to curate the gathered stories into reports, newsletters, or social media content.

    Adaptability: The ability to adjust storytelling style based on the audience, setting, and flow of the event.

    *This role is best for short term volunteers or one time volunteers

    *You will receive your volunteer training, the first day that you are scheduled to volunteer from our Volunteer Coordinator - After the short training session, you will immediately start your shift
