    Role Overview

    The Community Outreach & Relations Coordinator builds strategic partnerships, expands organizational visibility, and secures social service funding. This role acts as a primary liaison connecting the organization with school districts, government agencies, and local partners. Responsibilities range from executing public education workshops to collaborating on institutional grant writing and driving community awareness campaigns.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Community Outreach & Event Planning: Design, organize, and execute public awareness campaigns, educational workshops, and marketing efforts that engage local stakeholders and promote organizational services.
    • Grant Proposal Development: Partner closely with the development team to write, research, and submit high-impact grant proposals securing local, state, and federal social services funding.
    • Inter-Agency Partnership Management: Serve as the primary point of contact and liaison between community partners, school districts, municipal leadership, and government agencies to build collaborative initiatives.
    • Marketing & Educational Collateral: Draft persuasive informational materials, presentation decks, and workshop content to clearly communicate the organization’s mission and community resources.
    • Impact Tracking & Reporting: Monitor outreach metrics, attendance, and partnership deliverables to evaluate program reach and fulfill grant reporting requirements.

    Skills & Qualifications

    • Relationship & Liaison Management: Exceptional interpersonal and networking skills, with proven confidence engaging diverse community leaders, school administrators, and public officials.
    • Grant & Proposal Writing: Strong written communication skills with the ability to articulate mission impact, program goals, and budget needs in competitive grant applications.
    • Program & Workshop Facilitation: Experience planning, marketing, and delivering public presentations, workshops, and community events.
    • Cross-Sector Knowledge: Familiarity with local social service systems, educational administration, and municipal funding processes preferred.
    • Experience: 1–3 years in community organizing, public relations, non-profit outreach, or grant development.
