    Description

Social Media Intern (Volunteer) – Gain Real-World Nonprofit Marketing Experience

Shape our voice. Share the mission. Build a creative community.

Just Add Creative (JAC), a Lake Worth Beach–based 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is seeking a Volunteer Social Media Intern to help grow our presence on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn while telling the story of our creative community.

JAC distributes free craft kits to underserved communities and highlights local artists through interviews, events, and creative partnerships. In this role, you’ll help share those stories and bring our mission to life online.

This position is ideal for a student, emerging creative, or early-career marketer interested in nonprofit storytelling, social media strategy, and community arts.

This role may qualify for volunteer hours or internship credit, depending on your academic program.

    Location:

Remote, but applicants must be local to South Florida and available to attend occasional community events in the Lake Worth Beach area.

    What You’ll Do

    • Help brainstorm creative content ideas with our team
    • Post about twice per month on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn
    • Write engaging captions and create visuals using Canva or similar tools
    • Share event announcements, artist highlights, and behind-the-scenes moments
    • Attend occasional events to capture photos or short videos

    What You’ll Gain

    • Real-world nonprofit marketing experience
    • Portfolio-ready social media work
    • Connections with local artists and community leaders
    • Insight into community arts programming and events

    Time Commitment

4–6 hours per month with flexible scheduling.

Most work can be completed remotely, with occasional event attendance.

We’d Love to Hear From You If You

    • Are a student, recent graduate, or emerging creative
    • Enjoy social media storytelling and community engagement
    • Are organized, reliable, and proactive
    • Have experience with Instagram, Facebook, or LinkedIn

Bonus if you’re familiar with Canva or social media scheduling tools.

    Why It Matters

Your work will help amplify local artists, connect with new supporters, and expand access to creativity in our community. You won’t just be posting -you’ll be helping build a more vibrant, creative Lake Worth Beach while gaining real-world nonprofit marketing experience.
