    Description

EVENT CREW - Volunteer at the Boston Meal Pack for the 25th Anniversary of 9/11

Join 9/11 Day in Boston for the 25th anniversary of the September 11 National Day of Service and Remembrance. Volunteers will come together at the TRACK at new balance to support a large-scale meal-packing event benefiting the local community.

We are seeking Event Support Team volunteers to help keep the event organized, welcoming, and running smoothly. This is not a meal-packing role. Event Support Team members serve as the backbone of the event by welcoming volunteers, leading meal-packing lines, restocking stations, moving supplies, assisting with logistics, and stepping in wherever support is needed.

    Available roles may include:

    • Table Captain: Lead and support volunteers working on a meal-packing line
    • Heavy Lifter/Runner: Restock stations, move supplies, and keep operations flowing
    • Guest Services: Welcome, check in, and assist volunteers throughout the event
    • Set-Up Team: Prepare packing stations, organize supplies, install signage, and help ready the venue

Volunteer assignments will be based on event needs, individual abilities, and where support is needed most. No previous experience is required. Volunteers will receive instructions and hands-on training when they arrive. An optional virtual training session will also be offered before the event and recorded for anyone unable to attend live.

    Volunteer opportunities:

    • Thursday, September 10:
      • Set-Up Shift: 5:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m.

Event Support Team volunteers must be at least 18 years old. Volunteers should be prepared to remain on their feet for an extended period and wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes. A 9/11 Day T-shirt and a light breakfast or lunch, depending on the shift, will be provided.

Help Boston honor the 25th anniversary of 9/11 through service, unity, and compassion.
