    Description

Non-Profit Virtual Internship Opportunity with the Largest International Org to End Sexual Violence

Take Back The Night Foundation – Competitive Internship Program

The Take Back The Night Foundation offers one of the most selective and rigorous internship experiences in the social justice and nonprofit sectors. With only four spots available per quarter, our program is designed for exceptional students who are ready to contribute meaningfully to the global movement to end sexual violence.

Interns commit to 20 hours per week for six months, working directly with organizational leadership on high‑impact projects. Each intern receives personalized leadership mentoring and hands‑on experience in one or more of our core focus areas:

    • Law & Policy: Researching legislation, analyzing Title IX and Clery Act compliance, and supporting policy initiatives addressing sexual violence.
    • Communications & Marketing: Developing mission‑aligned messaging, crafting campaigns, and advancing public education around social justice.
    • Advancement & Development: Supporting donor engagement, grant strategy, and nonprofit sustainability efforts.
    • Social Media & Podcast Management: Creating content, managing platforms, and producing episodes for our global survivor‑focused podcast.

    Eligibility Requirements:

Candidates must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program with a minimum GPA of 3.6 and must submit two letters of recommendation. Successful applicants demonstrate:

    • Ingenuity and creative problem‑solving
    • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
    • Proficiency with Outlook and all Microsoft Office applications
    • Full‑time access to a computer (tablets are not sufficient)
    • Strong organizational skills and exceptional time management
    • Professionalism, reliability, and the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment

This internship is ideal for students seeking a challenging, meaningful experience that builds real‑world skills while contributing to a mission that changes lives.

Our alumni have gone on to earn full scholarships to medical school, secure positions at Ivy League institutions and NASCAR, and receive nationally competitive awards. Many credit their TBTN internship as the defining experience that set them apart.
