    Description

    Skills:

    • Extensive literary knowledge with a strong background in proofreading and editing various writing styles.
    • Ability to communicate with writers professionally and promptly.
    • A bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, or a related field is very welcomed but not a strict requirement.

    Responsibilities:

    • Read solicited submissions and record notes in a shared document with the editorial team.
    • Fact check information (quotes, names, dates, statistics) in submissions to verify accuracy.
    • Proofread issue drafts for grammatical errors and style inconsistencies.
    • Collaborate on the newsletter with the editorial team.
