    Description

BioWatch Beaver Project — Youth Project Lead

Beavers are engineers, and this project watches the work happen.

The BioWatch Beaver Project is a targeted beaver monitoring project using trail cameras in the Indian Mounds Elementary gully, in partnership with the City of Bloomington.

As Youth Project Lead, you will help coordinate camera checks and footage review, keep the wildlife activity record organized, lead crew work sessions, and help the team notice what changes over time. An Adult Project Advisor will support safety, logistics, and partner communication; the youth leadership is real, and it is yours to practice in public.

The Green Crew is a youth-led science-based environmental leadership and conservation service program, and a proud program of the Minnesota Valley Chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America. Open to youth ages 14 to 20. Cameras are checked and footage is reviewed during Sunday project days (12:00–4:00 PM), while the crew is together, plus a few planning hours a month.
