This role combines strong business plan writing skills with financial planning and budgeting ability, translating strategic and programmatic goals into clear, well-costed, actionable plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop business plans for international projects, aligning them with the foundation's mission and strategic priorities.
- Budgeting and financial planning for project proposals, including cost estimation, resource allocation, and financial projections.
- Translate qualitative program goals into quantifiable metrics and measurable targets.
- Factor in international operational considerations (regulatory context, local setup, staffing, logistics) when building plans.
- Collaborate with program, finance, operations, and regional teams to gather input and validate assumptions.
- Write clear, well-structured business plans and proposals for leadership, board, and donor audiences.
- Present plans and budgets to stakeholders and incorporate feedback into revisions.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Business Administration, Finance, International Development, or related field. Open to all candidates.
- Experience formulating business plans, ideally for international or cross-border projects.
- Understanding of financial planning and budgeting.
- Strong business plan writing skills — structuring narratives, financial sections, and executive summaries.
- Understanding or willingness to learn about international operational setup (staffing, partnerships, regulatory/compliance basics across regions).
- Ability to translate qualitative goals into quantifiable, measurable targets.
- Ability to work effectively across diverse, cross-functional teams.
- Prior experience in the non-profit/NGO/foundation sector is a plus, but not required.
