Description

Volunteer opportunity to work with marginalized youth and families in Harlem NY. You will be trained using our Curriculum of Possibilities distinctions to guide them through the program at Unlocking Futures. If you would like to be of service this year, don’t hesitate to get involved! Includes virtual training and monthly Saturday sessions with youth. You can learn more at nyunlockingfutures.org.

You will need to attend a volunteer orientation that will be held virtually for 1.5 hours from 7PM-8:30. You only need to attend one orientation. Do you understand this?

You will be assisting youth and guardians to complete a breakthrough project. You will also set a personal goal for yourself and will be trained on how to do so effectively. Do you understand?

The "It's About Us Too" program starts in January 2026 and ends in July 2026 with the youth and parent cohort. Are you committed to 2-3 hours of training and mentoring weekly?
