    About Us

    Justice for Children is a Houston-based nonprofit dedicated to protecting children from abuse and ensuring their families have access to critical legal and support services. Many of the families we serve are in crisis, with limited financial means and urgent needs. Your help will directly support our mission.

    Position Overview:

    The Fundraising Volunteer will play a key role in supporting the agency’s mission by assisting with community outreach, media engagement, and fundraising initiatives. Working closely with members of the advocacy team, this volunteer will help enhance the organization in pursuing and performance of fundraising opportunities in Harris and surrounding counties. This would include pre-established and creating fundraising ideas.

    Responsibilities:

    • Support the development and distribution of outreach and promotional materials.
    • Research and identify potential outreach and fundraising opportunities.
    • Networking and phone communication with outside agencies.
    • Assist in planning and promoting community events and campaigns.
    • Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent and effective messaging.

    Qualifications:

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong computer, internet, and research skills.
    • Experience in networking and fundraising initiatives.
    • Enthusiasm for nonprofit work, community engagement, and advocacy.
    • Ability to work collaboratively and follow direction from leadership.

    Supervision:

    Reports directly to JFC team members and their assigned volunteer coordinator.
