    Description

    1 hr/week: Volunteer Psychiatrists Needed - Bilingual a plus

After the start of the horrific war in the Ukraine and acknowledging the ongoing migration crisis at the US borders, PPSC (Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Study Center) mobilized to form the PPSC Refugee Support Project, a group of volunteers throughout the mental health and lay community, to provide crisis and support services to refugees, their families and service providers impacted. Volunteers in the PPSC RSP fall into several categories: Licensed Clinicians/Therapists, Translators, Asylum Advocates and Administrative Volunteers.

We are now currently seeking a New York State-licensed board-certified psychiatrists and prescribing nurse practitioners, who can be on standby for a consultation if and when a client is deemed to need psychiatric assessment and/or medication. Bilingual Spanish-English or French-English clinicians are especially encouraged to apply.
