    Location: Must be in or near NYC

    Time Commitment: 5–10 hours/week

    Term: 6–12 months (reviewed at 6 months)

    AfroPink is a survivor-led nonprofit organization advancing breast cancer awareness, education, and early detection through community-based programming. AfroPink 2.0 represents our next phase of growth—focused on structure, sustainability, and survivor leadership.

    Role Overview

    The Acting Director of Programs & Operations leads the planning and execution of AfroPink’s community programs, including the Pink Pop-Up Program and event tabling initiatives. This role manages interns and volunteers and ensures programs run smoothly without founder dependency.

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee planning and execution of AfroPink programs and events
    • Manage calendars, logistics, and run-of-show documents
    • Supervise program and operations interns
    • Coordinate volunteers and AfroPink Community Ambassadors
    • Develop repeatable workflows and checklists
    • Serve as escalation point for program-related issues

    Ideal Background
