A trip to the emergency room can be a very frighting experience for many. Having a friendly and helpful volunteer to help you though the experience is a great way to give back to others. We are currently interviewing for Guest Relations volunteer for the North Colorado Medical Center Emergency Room. Volunteers will round on patients as well as in the waiting area and back clinical area to offer comfort items to our patients and families such as such as warm blankets, companionship, and other ways to make someone's stay more comfortable. This position requires the ability to work independently and a focus on excellent customer service and empathy skills.

Currently we are unable to offer drop in\episodic volunteer opportunities. Volunteers will go through an onboarding process including the following;
Interview
Background and health screening
Orientation and training
Shifts will be scheduled weekly for one 2-3-hour shift between the hours of 3-6:00 PM per week. Volunteers must be 18 and over and commit to a six-month obligation to be considered for this position.

Join our Emergency Department Guest Relations Volunteers. Volunteers help round on patients, answer call lights and report requests to the patient's nurse, visit with patients and provide companionship and comfort whenever possible. The shift is Monday through Sunday from 3-6 pm.
