    Data Collection & Fundraising Volunteer (1 Hour/Day)

    About the Role

    World Disaster Center is seeking high-caliber volunteer professionals to support a strategic research and fundraising initiative. This effort is designed to deepen our understanding of global markets, donor behavior, and development engagement, while mobilizing critical support for humanitarian impact.

    This role goes beyond basic outreach. It requires maturity, analytical ability, global awareness, and confidence engaging diverse stakeholders.

    Key Responsibilities

    Volunteers will:

    • Conduct 5 structured research interviews with identified contacts, donors, or sector-relevant individuals
    • Secure 5 meaningful donations (any size welcome) to support humanitarian operations
    • Gather and document insights on donor psychology, global development perceptions, and engagement trends
    • Produce clear weekly reports summarizing progress, insights, and lessons learned
    • Demonstrate professionalism, initiative, and independent responsibility

    Guidance and structured tools will be provided.

    Time Commitment

    • Approximately 1 hour per day
    • Flexible schedule
    • Short-term project, with potential continuation based on performance

    Who We Are Looking For (Required Profile)

    We are specifically seeking individuals who demonstrate:

    • Prior experience working with international organizations, global nonprofits, development institutions, or related entities
    • Strong research background – qualitative or quantitative
    • Solid understanding of global markets, economics, and finance
    • Interest in international development, humanitarian systems, impact, and policy
    • Strong, confident personality – able to engage senior stakeholders and communicate with clarity
    • High integrity, professionalism, and maturity

    This opportunity is best suited for:

    • Graduates and professionals in economics, international relations, public policy, finance, development studies, business, or related fields
    • Individuals with demonstrated global exposure and analytical capacity

    Eligibility

    • Must be able to participate without OPT or student employment authorization requirements
    • Must be able to commit reliably
