Market Volunteers play a vital role in supporting individuals and families by helping prepare and distribute food in a welcoming, respectful environment. Volunteers help ensure community members receive nutritious food with dignity and care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with sorting, organizing, and stocking food items
- Help prepare food boxes or bags for distribution
- Greet and assist clients during pantry hours
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of pantry space
- Support setup and breakdown before and after pantry events
- Follow food safety and pantry guidelines
Qualifications:
- Friendly, dependable, and compassionate attitude
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Willingness to lift light to moderate items (as able)
- No prior experience required—training provided
Time Commitment:
Flexible scheduling; shifts vary based on pantry hours and events.
