Serving Conatiner Washer
Details
Description
It's incredibly rewarding to make a tangible difference in someone's life...and knowing that you have provided a delicious, nutritious, homemade meal is an amazing feeling! Are you ready to join the cook team?
This volunteer job involves WASHING and SANITIZING several large serving containers and utensils, and then delivering them to the upcoming volunteer cook. It requires access to a large sink (or bathtub) and/or dishwasher.
Every Sunday and Thursday year-round, our volunteer cooks prepare eight gallons of hearty, nutritious soup and transfer it into large thermal serving containers. Then, our driving team goes out to serve it. Before the next shift, someone needs to clean the containers and serving utensils so they're ready for the next cook! Could that be YOU?
Because we serve a vulnerable population, you must commit to properly cleaning and sanitizing all items, including the use of bleach.
Note that volunteers will be asked to sign a Volunteer Liability Waiver, Release and Agreement.
