    Description

    Disc Jockey (DJ)

The Ruth Lee Miller Heart Health Foundation is seeking a professional DJ to support our upcoming Cardiometabolic Health Exposition. This community-centered event is a free event designed to promote awareness, education, and prevention related to heart disease, diabetes, and overall cardiometabolic health. As a nonprofit organization hosting a no-cost public health event, the Foundation is respectfully requesting in-kind donated DJ services or services offered at a significantly discounted rate.

The DJ will provide music and sound support throughout the event to help create an engaging, welcoming, and energetic atmosphere for attendees, vendors, healthcare professionals, and community partners. Responsibilities will include playing appropriate background music, supporting announcements or transitions as needed, allowing our event emcee (Linda Robinson, local award-winning community leader) to use your PA system to interact with vendors and attendees, playing music for two line dancing sessions at the event (with PeChaz Clark of Personal Care Fitness), and helping maintain a positive flow during the event.

In exchange for in-kind or discounted services, the DJ will receive professional exposure to a broad and diverse audience that includes healthcare organizations, nonprofit leaders, community groups, and local businesses. The Foundation will provide public acknowledgment and credit through its website, social media platforms, newsletters, and event materials. Additional benefits include opportunities for networking with potential future clients and collaborators, formal documentation recognizing the in-kind contribution for professional or tax purposes, and consideration for future paid or collaborative opportunities with the Foundation and its partner organizations.

This opportunity is ideal for a DJ who is interested in using their talents to support a meaningful public health mission while expanding visibility, strengthening community connections, and showcasing their services in a high-impact, mission-driven setting.
