    Biology Research Lead (Volunteer)

    Organization: Pixel Pulse

    Pixel Pulse is a youth-led organization committed to fostering research, innovation, and educational opportunities for students across a variety of disciplines. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Biology Research Lead to help oversee and expand our biology-focused research initiatives.

    This role is ideal for a highly motivated student who is passionate about biological sciences, scientific inquiry, and mentoring fellow young researchers. The selected candidate will play a key role in guiding research projects and contributing to a collaborative academic environment.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead and coordinate biology research projects within the organization.
    • Guide student researchers through the research process, including topic selection, literature review, and methodology development.
    • Support the design, organization, and execution of research initiatives.
    • Review research work and provide constructive feedback to team members.
    • Collaborate with organizational leadership to develop new research opportunities.
    • Assist in preparing research papers, reports, presentations, and other academic outputs.

    Requirements:

    • High school student aged 16–18.
    • Strong academic background in biology, life sciences, biotechnology, genetics, environmental science, or a related field.
    • Previous research experience, participation in science fairs, academic competitions, research programs, or independent scientific projects.
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment.
    • Passion for scientific research and youth-led education initiatives.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience reading and analyzing scientific literature.
    • Familiarity with research methods, data analysis, or scientific writing.
    • Interest in specialized areas such as genetics, microbiology, neuroscience, biotechnology, ecology, public health, or related fields.
