    Description

Honor their service. Make a difference.

Have you served in the United States Armed Forces and want to

continue making a difference? Our Veteran-to-Veteran patient recognition program at Mercy Hospital

gives veteran volunteers the opportunity to connect with hospitalized

veterans and recognize their service to our country.

Through a personal visit, a heartfelt thank-you and a special recognition

gift, you can help fellow veterans feel honored, appreciated and

    supported during their hospital stay.

We are looking for veterans who are compassionate, dependable and

interested in supporting fellow veterans. Volunteers should be

comfortable in a hospital environment and able to offer a respectful,

welcoming presence to patients from all branches of military service.

Visit hospitalized veterans and thank them for

their service. Present a special recognition gift to honor their military service.

Offer conversation, encouragement and a meaningful connection.

Help create a welcoming and supportive patient experience
