    Description

Global Communications & Public Engagement Volunteer

    I. Position Overview

The Chinese Psychological Assistance Foundation (CNPAF) is expanding its global communications force, and we are seeking visionary, creative, and impact-driven Social Media Volunteers who want to shape conversations around mental wellness, immigrant communities, youth empowerment, and cultural belonging on an international stage.

This is not just a typical social media role —you will become part of a global, mission-driven movement dedicated to improving emotional well-being, reducing stigma, and building bridges across cultures.

As part of our Communications Team, you will help craft compelling narratives, amplify voices that are often unheard, and share meaningful stories that inspire compassion, resilience, and hope around the world.

    II. Why This Role Matters

Your creativity will directly influence how thousands of people — immigrants, students, seniors, and families — understand mental health, access support, and find community.

    You will help CNPAF:

    • Shape global mental-health awareness, especially Asian groups
    • Bring empathy and cultural wisdom into public conversations
    • Highlight cross-border collaborations with universities, youth leaders, and community partners
    • Support outreach campaigns to multicultural and diaspora communities.
    • Build a more connected, compassionate world

If you are looking for a chance to use your creativity to generate real social impact — this is it

    III. Key Responsibilities

    • Design and execute high-impact social media strategies that enhance CNPAF’s visibility across global communities.
    • Create inspiring multimedia content (posts, graphics, videos, interviews, story series, and micro-campaigns) for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, WeChat, and YouTube.
    • Lead community engagement by responding to comments, facilitating conversations, and interacting with partners, youth organizations, and multicultural groups.
    • Support campaign launches, mental-health initiatives, cultural-exchange programs, and global partnerships with professional storytelling.
    • Track metrics, analyze engagement trends, and propose data-driven improvements for long-term growth.
    • Collaborate with CNPAF’s Executive Board, Youth Cabinet, and Outreach Teams to ensure all communications are culturally sensitive, inclusive, and mission-aligned.

    IV. Qualifications

We value passion, curiosity, and a genuine desire to create meaningful social impact.

While we are a globally oriented nonprofit, you do not need perfect skills to join us — only the willingness to learn and grow.

    Core Qualities We Look For:

    • Interest in social impact, mental wellness, cultural diversity, or community empowerment.
    • A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and openness to feedback.
    • Basic familiarity with at least one social media platform (Instagram, WeChat, TikTok, Facebook, or others).
    • A creative spirit — no matter your experience level — and the courage to try new ideas
    • Responsible, communicative, and able to follow through on tasks in a flexible timeline.

    Nice-to-Have Skills (Not Required!):

(We mean it — none of these are mandatory.)

    • Basic writing ability in English; Mandarin is a plus but not necessary.
    • Some experience or interest in design/video tools (Canva, CapCut, Adobe, or anything you already use).
    • Curiosity about audience engagement, digital storytelling, or cross-cultural communication.

    Most Important:

We encourage applications from individuals of all experience levels, including beginners.

If you care about the mission and want to grow, you are already qualified.

    V. What You’ll Gain

    • Transformational Professional Experience

You will gain hands-on training in nonprofit communications, campaign building, and digital strategy — the same skill set used by top NGOs and global advocacy organizations.

    • Global Nonprofit Exposure

Work with teams collaborating across the U.S. and internationally, including youth leaders, researchers, community partners, and multicultural networks.

    • Creative Portfolio Building

Every project you complete — campaign, video, infographic, or storytelling series — can be added to your professional portfolio to strengthen future job or grad-school applications.

    • Mental Health & Cross-Cultural Knowledge

Learn from CNPAF’s mental-health specialists, cultural researchers, and program innovators.

    • Professional Mentorship

Receive mentorship and detailed feedback from CNPAF leadership, plus potential recommendation letters for outstanding contributors.

    • Real Impact on Real People

Your creativity will influence how communities understand mental health, access support, and feel a sense of belonging — your work will truly matter.

    VI. Commitment

    • Flexible schedule. Hybrid work available.
    • Ideal for students, creatives, community advocates, and anyone passionate about humanitarian communications.
