What This Volunteer Does
Our Newsletter Volunteer helps shape the stories we share with our community. They support the creation of our monthly newsletter by gathering updates, drafting short features, and helping highlight the amazing work our volunteers and partners are doing.
Key Responsibilities
- Collecting updates — Gather short announcements from program leads, volunteers, and partner organizations.
- Drafting content — Write brief, engaging blurbs about events, workshops, and community highlights.
- Spotlighting volunteers — Interview or gather quotes from volunteers to feature in each issue.
- Editing and polishing — Review text for clarity, tone, and consistency with our mission.
- Layout support — Assist with placing content into our newsletter template (no design experience required).
