Description
Home Visit volunteers provide hands-on support to families with new babies in Hilltowns, reducing isolation and bringing the Village right to their door.
- Time commitment: 2 hours per week, up to 12 weeks
- This position requires flexibility, good communication skills, access to reliable transportation to and from the Hilltowns, and our volunteers should be comfortable with babies and young children
- We can reimburse volunteers for miles driven to and from the family’s home at $0.34 per mile.
- Training includes an interview, background check, and shadowing an experienced volunteer
Volunteers visit the family every week for two hours, for up to 12 weeks during the first year of a baby’s (or babies’) life. Volunteers provide companionship, play with older children, prepare meals, wash dishes, and help in other ways that an extended family member or neighbor might.
