Role Overview
The Board Chair serves as the leader of the Board of Directors and is responsible for ensuring effective governance, facilitating board meetings, and supporting the strategic direction of the organization.
The Chair works closely with the CEO to align organizational goals with board oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate board meetings
- Set meeting agendas in collaboration with leadership
- Ensure the board fulfills its governance responsibilities
- Provide strategic guidance to the CEO and executive leadership
- Support board engagement and participation
- Ensure compliance with bylaws and governance standards
Leadership Scope
- Oversees board operations
- Serves as primary liaison between Board and CEO
Qualifications
- Leadership or governance experience
- Strong facilitation and communication skills
- Commitment to the organization’s mission
