    Description

    Gowanus Blooms 20th Anniversary Party

Support Gowanus Canal Conservancy at Gowanus Blooms, our 20th Anniversary celebration at Powerhouse Arts on May 7th. As the event approaches, we’re looking for night-of volunteers to help make Gowanus Blooms a success. Event volunteers will have a shift of about three hours and help with a range of tasks such as event set-up, coat check, food and dessert prep, selling merch and raffle tickets, compost engagement, helping guide people to the event space, and event breakdown. Volunteers are welcome to arrive early or stay after their shift to enjoy food, drinks and the party.

It’ll be an unforgettable evening — a DJ Set by the one and only Questlove, live music by Slavic Soul Party!, food from outstanding local restaurants, and a chance to honor Congresswoman Nydia Velázquez for her contributions to a greener Gowanus. We hope you can help us make Gowanus bloom!
