    Seeking Attorneys for Pro Bono Legal Aid - Must be located in Maryland

    🏛️ Volunteer Opportunity: Pro Bono Attorneys Needed to Support Individuals in Crisis

    Organization: PASS Maryland

    Location: Baltimore County and surrounding areas (remote and hybrid options available)

    Time Commitment: Flexible; case-by-case or ongoing support

    Start Date: Rolling

    PASS Maryland is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting individuals and families in crisis through housing assistance, Medicaid navigation, youth enrichment, job development, and wraparound care. We are currently seeking volunteer attorneys to provide pro bono legal support in the following areas:

    • 🛂 Immigration Law (family petitions, asylum, deportation defense)
    • ⚖️ Criminal Law (expungement, minor offenses, advocacy for justice-involved youth)
    • 🧾 Civil Law (identity theft, consumer rights, benefits appeals)
    • 🏠 Tenant Rights (eviction defense, housing conditions, lease disputes)
    • 👨‍👩‍👧 Family Law (custody, child support, divorce, protective orders)

    What You’ll Do:

    • Provide legal consultations or representation to individuals referred by PASS Maryland
    • Collaborate with our case managers to ensure holistic support
    • Help us build a network of legal advocates committed to equity and dignity

    Ideal Volunteers:

    • Licensed attorneys in Maryland (or able to practice under supervision)
    • Passionate about social justice and community-based advocacy
    • Comfortable working with vulnerable populations and navigating trauma-informed care
