    Description

    Community Shop Volunteer – Support Cancer Research

    The American Cancer Society’s Discovery Shops are unique resale stores that turn donated goods into funds that support cancer research, patient services, advocacy, and education.

    We are seeking In-Store Volunteers to support daily shop operations and help create a welcoming experience for customers and donors. This is an on-site, hands-on role that makes a direct impact in the local community.

    Responsibilities

    • Greet and assist customers and donors
    • Sort, price, and merchandise donated items
    • Maintain a clean and organized sales floor and back room
    • Support store promotions and special events
    • Work collaboratively with staff and fellow volunteers

    Qualifications

    • Friendly, dependable, and team-oriented
    • Comfortable standing, moving, and light lifting during shifts
    • Willing to follow store procedures and safety guidelines
    • No retail experience required — training is provided
    • Must meet American Cancer Society volunteer onboarding requirements
