Description
Junior Achievement (JA) offers a variety of volunteer opportunities designed to help students develop financial literacy, career readiness, and entrepreneurship skills. Volunteers typically share real-world experiences and help students connect classroom learning to future careers.
Classroom Volunteer
- Deliver JA's structured lessons in K–12 classrooms.
- Lead discussions and activities related to money management, careers, and business.
- Commitments may range from a single day to weekly sessions over several weeks.
JA in a Day
- Teach an entire JA program in one school day.
- Ideal for professionals who want a high-impact opportunity with a limited time commitment.
Career Exploration and Job Shadowing
- Host students at a workplace, discuss career paths, and provide exposure to different industries.
- Support career fairs and mentoring activities.
Entrepreneurship and Company Program Coaches
- Mentor student teams as they create and manage a business venture.
- Help students develop leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
