Vice President Operations - New York Metro Area

Functional Description

The VP of Operations and Technology supports the President in overseeing IMPACTability’s internal operations and administration. This Board-level volunteer role leads the Project Management Office (PMO) and IT Operations, helping ensure that programs, resources, and operational priorities are effectively coordinated.

Key Responsibilities

PMO Management

• Recruit, onboard, and oversee Project Managers.
• Support program planning, including pilot and implementation plans.
• Coordinate program resource needs with the Board and Committee Chairs.
• Track program plans, dependencies, risks, and issues.
• Report progress and operational concerns to the Board and relevant Committee Chairs.
• Interview prospective Project Managers.

General Administration

• Manage administrative requests and back-office special projects initiated by the Board.
• Contribute to budget discussions related to operations.
• Help strengthen systems, processes, and operational capacity across IMPACTability.

Volunteer Position Details

• Term: Two years
• Location: U.S.-based; New York Metro area candidates are strongly preferred.
• Time commitment: Approximately 12–15 virtual hours per month, including occasional evening or weekend meetings.
• Board participation: Attend monthly virtual Board meetings.
