Join a small group of Advocacy Fellows in Hawaii. Senator Brian Schatz is the top Democrat on the Senate subcommittee that funds U.S. foreign aid, so his constituents have an important opportunity to make a difference for global health.
You will be trained and supported in effective citizen advocacy, urging the Congressman to support measures to increase the impact of U.S. global health programs. Currently we are focused on funding and policy improvements for these programs as they transition from USAID to the State Department.
Advocacy Fellows work about 6 hours a week for a minimum of 12 months, with regular small-group coaching by video chat. All activities can be conducted remotely.
Before you apply, start with a brief chat with our Director of Advocacy, Keith Johnson, to answer your questions and see if this is what you're looking for. Email Keith a brief statement of interest and a few times you would be available, after 8:30am Pacific Time/ 11:30am Eastern Time: k.johnson@fundforglobalhealth.org
