Face Painters provide a fun, creative experience for youth and families during Creative’s Day. This role supports the organization’s mission by engaging the community in hands-on artistic activities, enhancing the event experience, and fostering a positive and welcoming environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Paint creative designs on children and attendees’ faces throughout the event
- Set up and maintain face painting station with all necessary supplies
- Follow safety and hygiene protocols for paints, brushes, and skin contact
- Interact warmly with participants, answering questions and encouraging creativity
- Coordinate with other volunteers to ensure smooth flow and minimal wait times
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Assist with event setup and teardown as needed
- Support team by helping manage lines and participant flow
- Contribute to creating a fun and organized event environment
Skills/Qualifications Needed:
- Ability to paint simple to moderately complex designs on faces
- Strong interpersonal skills and comfort engaging with children and families
- Attention to cleanliness and safety practices
- Reliable and punctual
Desired Experience:
- Previous experience with face painting or children’s arts programs preferred
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced, public event setting
- Creative, patient, and friendly demeanor
Time Commitment:
- Event Day: June 13, 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM (includes 30–60 minutes for setup and breakdown)
- Optional participation in pre-event volunteer briefings
