    Description

    WesleyLife Hospice Volunteer

WesleyLife Hospice volunteers are essential to our team! Whether you want to work directly with patients and their families or prefer to work behind the scenes we have opportunities for you. Our opportunities do vary depending on the needs of our patients and their families.

All volunteers are required to complete an application and a background check. Training will be provided for your role.

Our top needs right now include but are not limited to:

1 - Companion Volunteers: Spend time one-on-one with a patient. This can be as simple as holding their hand, visiting, playing a game, or being a quiet presence.

2 - Veteran Volunteers: We are seeking retired and active military men and women to provide companionship to our hospice patients who are veterans. We are also seeking these individuals to help with honoring our veteran patients during a veteran pinning ceremony.

If you are interested in volunteering contact Diana Ferriss, Volunteer Coordinator at dferriss@wesleylife.org or 515.229.7366. You can also fill out an application: http://bttr.im/m837f
