Description
Silverado Hospice is seeking compassionate Companion Volunteers to provide comfort and connection to patients during their hospice journey. Volunteers spend time with patients through conversation, reading, music, life review, or simply offering a peaceful presence. Your time and kindness can make a profound difference for individuals and their families.
Responsibilities:
- Visit patients in their homes or care communities
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Engage in simple activities such as talking, listening, reading, or playing music
- Maintain professional boundaries and uphold patient confidentiality
- Complete orientation and required training (provided at no cost)
