    About Native Flora Seeds

    Native Flora Seeds is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to restoring biodiversity by getting native plant seeds into the ground across the United States. Through seed sales, grants, and community programs, we help create sustainable habitats that support birds, bees, butterflies, and other pollinators. Our mission is simple: Get Seeds in the Ground.

    Position Summary

    Native Flora Seeds is seeking a motivated and mission-driven volunteer to support and grow our fundraising and donor engagement efforts. This role is essential to expanding our impact by helping secure financial support, strengthen donor relationships, and develop fundraising initiatives that directly fund native planting projects and community grants.

    Key Responsibilities

    Fundraising Campaign Support

    • Assist in planning and executing fundraising campaigns (online and community-based)
    • Identify opportunities for donations, sponsorships, and partnerships
    • Support seasonal campaigns aligned with planting cycles and environmental initiatives

    Donor Engagement

    • Help build and maintain relationships with donors and supporters
    • Draft donor communications, including outreach emails and thank-you messages
    • Support donor retention and engagement strategies

    Grants & Partnerships (Preferred)

    • Research potential grant opportunities (e.g., water districts, conservation programs)
    • Assist in preparing grant proposals and funding requests
    • Support partnership outreach with aligned organizations

    Collaboration with Marketing

    • Coordinate with marketing efforts to align fundraising messaging with social media and website content
    • Help communicate the impact of donations through storytelling and program updates

    Tracking & Reporting

    • Track fundraising progress and donation activity
    • Assist in preparing reports to communicate outcomes and impact to stakeholders

    Qualifications

    • Passion for environmental conservation, native plants, or biodiversity
    • Interest or experience in fundraising, nonprofit development, or marketing
    • Strong written communication and interpersonal skills
    • Organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working remotely
