Description
Through our network of volunteers, farm partners, and donation sites, we collect and distribute more than 600,000 pounds of fresh produce each year—including fruits and vegetables purchased from local farms and gleaned from fields that would otherwise go to waste and donated by home and community gardeners.
Through our Squash Hunger program, we distribute more than 600,000 pounds of fresh produce to local food pantries and organizations. We purchase fruits and vegetables from local farms and glean produce from fields that would otherwise go to waste. Our partnerships with more than 50 community organizations help ensure that local food reaches thousands of people every week.
Our Squash Hunger volunteers help prepare orders of fresh fruits and vegetables in our Food Hub for distribution to food pantries and shelters. Volunteers should be able to lift 50 lbs (large bags of potatoes and onions).
Help is currently needed Mondays or Tuesdays around noon. Shifts average 1.5 - 2 hours.
