    Description

    NW Children's Foundation Board Member

NW Children’s Foundation (NWCF) seeks talented, energetic board members that have a passion for child welfare. Currently we are interviewing candidates for membership beginning on February 1 or August 1, 2026. We would like to add more male board members and board members of color to help diversify our membership and enrich and improve our organization.

NWCF is dedicated to breaking the complicated intergenerational cycle of child abuse, neglect, and trauma. We envision a world in which all children thrive in safe, equitable, and nurturing communities. In its fourth decade of work, NWCF is harnessing the power of collaboration to lead the movement to ensure bright futures for vulnerable children and families.

Board members serve on one or more of the organization’s committees and raise funds for NWCF’s grant-making, awareness and advocacy through a variety of events as well as personal solicitations. Board members glean experience in philanthropy, donor engagement, event planning/execution, and grantmaking; and also have the opportunity to learn from experts about the latest science and effective interventions that prevent and heal the effects of childhood trauma.

Interested candidates will have an initial conversation with a member of NWCF’s Board Membership Committee, and may after that be invited for additional interviews and to sit in on a board meeting and/or observe a grantmaking site visit.

NWCF is dedicated to fostering a dynamic environment that values equity, inclusion, and respect. Learn more about board membership here.
