    Typical patient visit: about 1 hour per week per patient — but you choose your level of involvement. Some volunteers visit multiple patients giving as much time as they’re able.

    Volunteer Application Process

    1. Stop by the office Monday–Friday between 9:30 AM–4:30 PM to fill out an application.
    2. Complete a background check and drug screening.
    3. Complete a 2-step TB test.
    4. Attend volunteer orientation and training.
    5. Shadow experienced staff or volunteers before independent visits.
    6. Choose the patients, facilities, or volunteer opportunities that fit your schedule.

    If you plan to drive to patient visits, please bring your driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.

    4. Attend volunteer orientation and training with the Volunteer Coordinator.
    5. Shadow visits will be provided before seeing patients independently.
    6. Choose volunteer opportunities and a schedule that work best for you.
