    About Chelsea Film Festival

    Chelsea Film Festival is an international film festival and year-round arts and culture organization supporting independent filmmakers, emerging artists, and bold storytelling from around the world.

    Our ecosystem extends beyond the annual festival through industry programming, mentorship, networking, education, and our Incubator for emerging talent.

    The Opportunity

    We are seeking a reliable, organized, and people-oriented Volunteer Box Office Manager to oversee box office operations during our 14th Annual Festival, October 14–18, 2026.

    The Box Office Manager will help ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for festival audiences, filmmakers, guests, and industry professionals.

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee daily box office operations during the festival
    • Manage ticket sales, will-call, guest lists, and check-in
    • Coordinate with festival staff, volunteers, venues, and production teams
    • Assist with audience seating and capacity management
    • Resolve ticketing and guest issues in a professional and timely manner
    • Train and supervise box office volunteers
    • Monitor ticket inventory and provide updates to the festival team
    • Support VIP, filmmaker, press, and industry guest check-in
    • Maintain accurate box office records and report attendance
    • Help ensure a welcoming and efficient experience for festival audiences

    Who We’re Looking For

    • Organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
    • Friendly and professional with strong customer service skills
    • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
    • Comfortable managing multiple tasks and working under pressure
    • Experience with ticketing, box office, events, hospitality, or customer service is a plus
    • Passionate about film, arts, and live events

    Commitment

    Availability during business hours leading up to the festival for preparation and coordination, with full availability during the festival, October 14–18, 2026, including evenings and weekends, October 14–18, 2026.
